1. Ha Ji Won is appointed as one of the presenters for Laureus World Sport Awards 2015, apparently a prestigious awards for athletes all over the world from various fields. The event was held in Shanghai, China on April 15 and she's the first Korean to ever have attended it. The event was hosted by actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Henry Cavill from "Man of Steel", Carolina Kurkova, Yao Ming, Yang Yang and other worldwide stars and sports stars were there. Ha Ji Won was there with another actor to present Sport Disability Personality of The Year. (Koreaboo)

Did the ship finally hit prominent iceberg? A week filled with anxiety, but still share some of the best moments from TaNyang/JiJi ship.

1. No bigger news come this week than a rumor about Ji Chang Wook and former Miss Korea 2009 Kim Joo Ri dating! It shakes both shippers and casual Ji Chang Wook fans as we read every single news and article about them. Thankfully his agency, Glorious, swept the rumor quickly by denying the dating rumor and saying that they’re “just friends”. Apparently they have couple items like sunglasses and necklaces that bother netizens to ask if they’re dating. Ji Chang Wook himself also explained yesterday that the rumor is really untrue. Well, we really hope it’s untrue because deep down we still hold out hope for JiJi rumor to be dating.

TaNyang Weekly 05/04/2015

Hi everyone!! How’s your week?? Hope you’ll enjoy the holiday and Happy Easter for you too! This week is a bit quiet for JiJi. Hope we’ll get more juicy news next week!

1. As some of you may know, Ha Ji Won headed to France on April 2, for a photoshoot with Instyle and a reality show that will be aired on OnStyle. The reality show is titled “Go Go With Unnie” (working title) and will document her journey in France as she embark on different regions and learn many new things. It will be aired later on April and it’s Ha Ji Won’s first reality show. On the other hand, she headed to Paris wearing color-coordinated blue top and pants with reflective sunglasses. Looks like our couple likes blue as their fashion color.

 

2. After heading to Bali for photoshoot, Ji Chang Wook practically hibernated for the rest of the week. No update on SNS, no major event or photoshoot. Basically nothing for a week, until today, when he went to Daegu for musical “The Days” performance. With stylish and trendy outfits and accesories, he caught the attention of fans and received warm welcome from them. Finally! Manager Bang also update his Instagram and caught Wookie enjoyed watching football on his phone, despite brought along a big headphone. Unfortunately, he got minor accident today when he fell off in front of the stage and to the audience during the performance, although he quickly got up and resumed the musical. Fans said he’s okay and we sincerely hope he’s really alright. Take care, Wookie!

 

3. As predicted, Ha Ji Won is confirmed for the remake of Taiwanese “in Time With You” called “The Time I Loved You, 7000 Days” in Korea. Despite still not secured leading man, having Ha Ji Won probably instilled confidence to SBS that have ratings slump, especially on their Wed-Thu and weekend shows. The drama also secured timeslot after weekend drama “Divorce Lawyers In Love” and will begin airing start from June.

4. While Ji Chang Wook is on hiatus for few days, luckily his agency is not on hiatus as well. They provide much needed Ji Chang Wook’s pictures, in Shanghai, in Incheon Airport, etc. We’ll get to see the high quality and high resolution photos too. It’s clear that his agency now promotes Ji Chang Wook better, well, at least for now. Let’s enjoy Handsome Ji Chang Wook provided by Glorious Entertainment!

6. Ready to get new never-before-seen BTS?? Are you anticipating ohlala BTS? Wait no more as the Empress Ki Official Japan Guidebook vol.3 will be released soon!! The guidebook will be released on April 10, so it means next week! There’s high chance we will see ohlala BTS (but there’s a chance to not too, coz MBC is stingy!). Still, we can hope we will see more fishy BTS between TaNyang.. It’s the preview of the book:

TaNyang Weekly 29/03/2015

Here we’re comeback to do some reporting for TaNyang Weekly. It’s a week full of fashion, photoshoots, pictorial and some crazy scooter ride.. Enjoy!

1. Fate? Fashion? Or both? Seoul Fashion Week 2015 was opened last week through last Thursday and our JiJi couple didn’t miss it. Despite on different dates.. Yeah, yeah, of course they wouldn’t go together, unless wanna caught by Dispatch like new celebrity couple (Lee Min Ho and Suzy). At least they were pretty to look at and wore similar black and white concept. Ji Chang Wook was coming on 22nd and 23rd March while Ha Ji Won was on 25th March or the last day of the event. Ha Ji Won’s shoes didn’t go unnoticed however that she wore sneakers/tennis shoes on such event. Hmm, why? Are the shoes from the special someone? Other suspicious or maybe fortunate thing for shippers is that they both didn’t smile as much and didn’t really pay attention to other attendants. Ji Chang Wook definitely looked bored on two occasions. Still, enjoy some of their pictures on Seoul Fashion Week. You can also watch their video "together" HERE.

TaNyang Weekly comes back this week with heavy dose of prettiness, news and events.

1. Talk of the month! Ha Ji Won is in talks to headlining the remake of Taiwanese drama “In Time With You” and renamed “The Time I Loved You, 7000 Days” for the Korean version. The drama will be aired on SBS, tentatively after “Divorce Lawyers In Love” and that will make the drama premiered in May. Writing is “Full House” and “Attic Cat” writer but still no PD attached on it. Now everyone and their mother are busy being couch casting director to find the male lead suitable for Ha Ji Won. The story is about two people in their 30s who have been best friends since high school only to realize they actually fall in love with each other. With such story, the leading man is expected to be over 30s too as they should be close in real life age, the contenders range from Ha Ji Won’s former co-stars like Jo In Sung, So Ji Sub and Kang Dong Won to talented actors who never paired with Ha Ji Won before, like Gong Yoo or even Won Bin. While the possibility of JiJi re-united for this drama is quite small, it doesn’t prevent some fans to create awesome fanart for them like the one above. 1. First up, we have Ha Ji Won and Park Seo Joon interview for SBS One Night and Northcape photoshoot. Yep, you don’t read it wrong. Park Seo Joon was chosen to replace Ji Chang Wook as Northcape male model and Northcape immediately work on this new couple, for photoshoot and interview. During interview session, Ha Ji Won was asked who will she choose to work with, Hyun Bin, Ji Chang Wook and Park Seo Joon? She naturally chose Park Seo Joon as he’s the one beside her. She also shares her thought to be in a project where she can be an eagle at day and human at night. While Park Seo Joon readily agrees to work with her. Well, good luck to them if they work together!

Good evening on the first week of February!! This month is really the month of LOVE as we have some lovely moments from JiJi and “Empress Ki” family to share. Enjoy!

1. Since we’re talking about LOVE here.. The first appropriate news should be about wedding, no? Jo Jae Yoon (Empress Ki’s Golta) was getting married yesterday, Feb 7. He marries his colleague 9 years younger than him at a Seoul Hotel yesterday. So many celebrities, especially his current and former co-stars attended the wedding, including Yoo Yeon Seok, Lee Sang Yoon, Goo Hye Seon, Kim Min Seo, and last but not least Ha Ji Won herself. But you won’t come across her picture on any Korean media. Fortunately, MBC Section TV catched a glimpse of her at the wedding. Sadly, Ji Chang Wook was unable to attend because he’s still busy filming “Healer” (poor thing) and updated his Instagram and Weibo instead to congratulate his hyung and thank his sister-in-law (Jae Yoon’s wife). It became meta joke that of all “Empress Ki” casts who haven’t married yet, it’s not the emperor, empresses, concubines, king or generals that getting married, but an eunuch first. Anyway congratulations for Jo Jae Yoon!! Hope we will see your little kids soon! ^^

Good evening from here! At last, it’s February now! The month that associated with love and romance. As usual, we would gladly share some juicy news on the first day of February like this.

1. Japanese media reported that Ha Ji Won's fan meeting was very sucessful. The tickets were sold out. During one segment, when the organiser played a highlight version of Empress Ki, she was moved to tears and said "Maybe I havent got out of the character, I remember how tough the filming was and how the character felt, so I cried. I am sorry."

No need to say sorry Ji Won-ssi, we also still can’t move on from “Empress Ki”. I think part of the reason why we (and Ha Ji Won) so difficult to move on is because the drama itself is very long, 51 episode and the shooting took about 9-10 months and the other reason is she had met many precious people, actors, staff, writer, PD, etc. Imagine yourself as a student at any class in a school for a year (academic year is about 9-10 months too), you still remember your beloved friends and priceless experience there right? 1. The first one is of course the good news first. Since this month, Korean media and English news portal have faithfully recycled old news about “Empresss Ki”, Ji Chang Wook or Ha Ji Won. It doesn’t help that we have seen or read the articles so many times before. But at least it’s nice reminder for us to keep supporting TaNyang/JiJi Couple. I wonder if media finally find something fishy between them? Will Dispatch/The Fact break the news about them dating? Hehehe

As if JiJi looks up at the weather and decides to mimic the grim weather, it’s been grim week for us all. But no worries, there are still enough fishes to keep you satisfied.

1. Ha Ji Won’s COABM VIP Premiere on January 12 went on without hitch and the movie VIP premiere was star-studded. Lots of up-and-coming actors/actresses and idols went to show some support to the cast and crew. One person sorely missed is of course Ji Chang Wook who were unable to attend because he’s in the middle of liveshooting for “Healer”. Though he did explain to everyone via his IG that he’s still filming on that night while biting his “Healer” script. Poor Healer boy, it’s actually the second time he missed Ha Ji Won’s VIP Premieres. Last year he was also unable to attend “The Huntresses” VIP Premiere because he was sick. But at least there were representratives from “Empress Ki” as Jin Yi Han (Tal Tal) and Yoo In Young (Batolu) attended COABM VIP Premiere. The movie itself was premiered last Wednesday, January 15. Apologies for skipping TaNyang Weekly last week as we’re busy by everything else and on cloud nine last Sunday. *excuse* So here we will recap whatever happened these past 2 weeks.

1. For once JiJi ship looks like sailing at the right direction last Sunday (7/12). Two Ha Ji Won’s fans from abroad spotted her watching musical “The Days” at the front row (VIP). Not only watching, but according to the fans, Ha Ji Won also went to Ji Chang Wook’s dressing room and still talked to each other after the musical. The said fans also captured some pictures and videos to prove. Happy dance for us!! Ha Ji Won reported went to the musical with her manager and staffs. The fishy thing, not one person in Korea took their picture or any article pointed out Ha Ji Won’s attendance. Usually Ji Chang Wook or Ha Ji Won’s staffs quite open on their IGs, even JiJi themselves should snap a selca. But there’s no pic from them. Korean fans also not gave their attention to her, Ha Ji Won! A-list actress and his co-star, yet no one bother? Or just it becomes open secret for everyone in Korea that JiJi is dating? Okay, that part is purely speculation, don’t believe in our words until we get confirmation from them... But it’s fun to speculate, ain’t it?

2. Before “The Days” spectacular news, Ha Ji Won was doing opening pitch for HOPE Charity Baseball Match on Dec 7. She wore cute beanies, shirt and fitted jeans. She looked so happy at the event and even hugged some kids. To do opening pitch is considered an honor and she was there with other celebrities, lookes like she was having fun at the baseball match. 3. On Dec 4, busy Ji Chang Wook as usual, attended “Healer” Press Conference and “The Days” drawing event (to determine the seats for “The Days” fan event). What I can gather from the two events is that Ji Chang Wook was really REALLY handsome in AD HOC clothes, a grey checkered outercoat, a vest, necktie and white shirt. He really shined through during the press conference. He also talked a bit about Ha Ji Won, saying that he remembers her as being very bright and cheerful on the set and he wants to learn that. “...When I saw Ha Ji Won always smiling even when it was tiring during ‘Empress Ki’, I thought to myself that I ought to learn from that. That kind of appearance gives strength to the people around and makes it enjoyable,” said him. Okay, HJW seems to inspire her to be more cheerful on the set. 4. As you know that “Healer” is airing on KBS2, when Ha Ji Won was in Vietnam she gave hints that she will do a KBS project very soon. News came out this week that she will join as the fist guest of new variety show “Invisible Man” that plans to be the variety show version of drama “Misaeng”. Ha Ji Won will filming on Dec 19 and while this variety show will start broadcasting January next year. The “Invisible Man” have some famous MCs such as Kang ho dong (Strong heart,Golden Fishery), Haha/Ha Dong Hoon, BTOB's Sungjae, singer Kim Bum Soo, M.I.B's Kangnam, and model Park Sung Jin. So our TaNyang/JiJi couple now migrate to KBS? (ladykate)

5. Ha Ji Won released Ha Ji Won’s Secret 2nd and 3rd trailer as well as the poster. Well, the sexy poster. 6. “Chronicle of A Blood Merchant” (COABM) and “Healer”, two JiJi’s acting project right now have been doing well. “Healer” premiered on Dec 8 with 7.8% ratings nationwide, while COABM is to be released for the next month. As predicted, Ji Chang Wook is very cool as awesome no.1 courier “Healer” Seo Jung Hoo. On the other hand Ha Ji Won already looks her part as mother of three sons in COABM with onscreen husband Ha Jung Woo. But still, they looks like uncle and niece for me from the stills alone, although I know they will have awesome chemistry in movie. Please continue to support JiJi as Healer Seo Jung Hoo in “Healer” and Heo Ok Ran in COABM!

7. Amidst “Healer” premiere, an outdoor clothing brand from North Europe somewhere released BTS pictures of its model, Ji Chang Wook. I don’t have any energy to write more about it, so just enjoy the picture. (rianse naver blog)

 

8. Ha Ji Won also will hold 1st Asian Tour – Singapore FM on January 10 next year. The tickets are almost sold out right now and proves even further how popular Ha Ji Won is in Asia. Here’s the promo poster for the event.

9. “Empress Ki” received Highly-Commended (runner up) for Best Drama Series at Asian Television Awards 2014 held in Singapore on Dec 11. I don’t even know it was nominated so it’s nice surprise to know the drama gets critical acclaim internationally, even when Korean judges and voters almost forget by its existence. Just a warning not to get your hopes up, “Empress Ki” won’t be nominated in anything at MBC Drama Awards 2014 since the drama already won last year. The drama already won many awards at MBC DA last year, including a Daesang for Ha Ji Won and Excellence Actor for Ji Chang Wook. Let’s remember the best they can get, right?

10. Since JiJi quite busy updating Instagram these 2 weeks, so I just compile them here. Keywords from Ha Ji Won’s updates: wine, christmas, sexy ladies as border/frame and Astroboy and The Troll. Keywords from Ji Chang Wook: Healer, Seo Jung Hoo, Park Min Young, Eternal Love, cold. Yes, cold. He has complained about cold 4 times in 2 months, including the latest update yesterday. Math of the day: Using probability theory, how many more will he say ‘cold’ during “Healer” filming? LOL.
