1. We’d like to open this week’s summary and news from good news first for “Empress Ki” lovers. Google collected data to see which phrases were the most searched for in the country of South Korea throughout this past year. Unsurprisingly, many hit dramas and “Empress Ki” of course made the list.

CJ E&M in collaboration with AGB Nielsen (ratings agency) also create Content Power Index (CPI) to assess the most influential k-drama in 2014. The result is accumulated from TV ratings, SNS involvement, topic of interest (how many news articles), and audience response (search rankings), etc. “Empress Ki” is one of top 7 dramas in 2014. 2. Ji Chang Wook attended press meeting for “Healer” on December 16 in Paju, Gyeonggido. Dressed in warm grey coat, Ji Chang Wook was present along with co-stars Park Min Young and Yoo Ji Tae. He also shared his thought on action scenes, “Although there is a lot of action in the drama, I have not sustained any major injuries. The stuntmen helped me a lot, and the action team took a lot of effort to ensure that I do not get hurt. There are times where it may be dangerous, but I cannot afford to get injured in the future either.”
I tell you, he should hire Gil Ra Im as personal trainer for action stunts. (JCW Kitchen)

3. On December 17th, “Chronicle of a Blood Merchant” (COABM) and its team held a press conference at the CGV in Apgujeong, Seoul. Two leading stars, Ha Jung Woo and Ha Ji Won attended the press conference and were talking about the movie and related things. Among the questions asked at the presscon, Ha Ji Won answered one importand question regarding her future, saying that she thought about marriage and hoped to have 3 sons. Koreaboo reported: During the press conference, Ha Ji Won revealed that, “I had three sons at the finale scene of the drama ‘Secret Garden.’ This time too, I am a mom of three sons. Although I have never really thought about marriage until now, I took a role of being wife of Heo Sam Kwan and a mom of Il Lak, Yi Lak, and Sam Lak in ‘Chronicle of a Blood Merchant.’ It’s my first time acting as a full mom.” The actress further commented on her feelings abut marriage, “I was able to feel the warmth of a family with this role, and furthermore, I was able to consider about marriage. The kids were really adorable. Now I want to become a mom of three sons when I marry in the future.”

Ahem, she who usually prefers working than talking about marriage, now wants to settle down? I suspect she’s already seeing (read: dating) someone. Anyway good luck to her future husband! (Koreaboo)

4. We also get updates from one of Ha Ji Won’s CF, KEB Bank. Is now Christmas 2014 already? Time surely flies by and it means “Empress Ki” was already aired in Korea over a year ago. (KEB Bank FB)
5. If you’re living in Singapore or nearby, don’t miss the chance to attend Ha Ji Won’s fanmeeting in Singapore on January 10. It’s basically the first Ha Ji Won’s FM there and part of her 1st Asian Tour and the tickets already sold out. Here’s the goodies if you’re one of the lucky fans to attend her fanmeeting. (HJW Soompi)
6. More “Empress Ki” feels this week as our empresses and emperor congratulate Tal Tal. Ha Ji Won, Ji Chang Wook, Baek Jin Hee, as well as other well-known celebrities sent their greetings to Jin Yi Han via a video for his fanmeeting in Taiwan. That means Jin Yi Han is the third “Empress Ki” cast to hold fanmeeting in Taiwan after Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook. Congrats to our Prime Minister/Mr.Perfect/Master TalTal!!
PS: Watch the video, Ji Chang Wook’s turn is right after Ha Ji Won.

7. Since “Empress Ki” had finished its airing in the middle of 2014 some bloggers/recappers include it on their year-end reviews. I actually really enjoy reading year-end reviews, especially on “Empress Ki” because it provides new perspective for me and also let me know how others would value and analyze this drama. It goes without saying that I obviously love this drama, with its flaws and all so reading year-end reviews is like seeing the drama from other people’s perspective, even though I don’t necessarily agree with them on every single word. So if anyone wants reviews to look back on “Empress Ki”, you can read it here: Dramabeans (Gummi’s review), (HeadsNo2’s review); Koala’s Playground review.

8. An update from “Healer”. Speculation from fans and delulu imagination has fueled up the story behind Ji Chang Wook’s red mark, found in Episode 4 of drama “Healer” at around 24 mins mark. Fans wonder whether it’s natural mosquito mark, action stunt, or *pervert-thinking* kiss mark. If and if only it’s kiss mark, who gave him such an obvious mark? Why the stylist/make-up artist not cover it with make-up? Feel free to analyze what the red mark actually is!

9. To satisfy our thirst about TaNyang, more pictures are released from Empress Ki Japan Guidebook vol.2. No ohlala/CPR kiss/cave scene BTS so far. Stingy MBC! (Jiwonderland, jiwonnie1023 IG)

10. While Ha Ji Won was nowhere to be seen this past week, aside from COABM press conference, and not updating her Instagram for almost 2 weeks, Ji Chang Wook was quite active on Instagram. He still complained about cold weather and winter in Korea, but one big fishy thing is he also posted a caption about being lonely with lyrics from 2 Korean songs.
 His post on Dec 21:

또하루 멀어져 간다..
외롭게 나만 남은 이공간..
매일 이별하며 살고 있구나..
#서른즈음에 #혼자남은밤 #김광석
(Trans by JCW Kitchen):
Yet another day goes further away..
In this place I am left lonely and alone..
We live bidding goodbye each day..
#Around 30 #A Night Left Alone #Kim Gwang Seok

You can feel the sadness and loneliness just from the caption above. Because Ji Chang Wook is quite introvert guy, he won’t just randomly put up the lyrics and update his Instagram. Hmm, did he miss his Ji Won noona? This also strengthen my believe that Ji Chang Wook *may* date someone at the moment, but that someone is not near him. (JCW Instagram)

That’s all for this week. Stay tune for next week!!
