Chapter 18

A chilly evening…

Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook back to their bedroom. She is reading a book while he is staring at her.

Seeing Ha Ji Won only pays her attention to the book without looking at him, Ji Chang Wook is not happy. He hugs the pillow to sit up and asks her.

“Hmm…seems you love this book more than me huh?”
“Nope..”

Ha Ji Won answers without raising her face and continued to flip the pages. Ji Chang Wook can’t stand more, he sulks and turns away.

Ha Ji Won blinks her eyes then look at him, she feels funny with his childish action. No way, she has to put the book aside then lay down beside him

“Are you angry at me?”
“Nope…” *pouting his lips*
“Still said no…your lips are almost perking up to the sky already,” she teases him

Ji Chang Wook doesn’t talk any word but turns his face to the wall only.

Ashh, Ha Ji Won feels unavoidable. Seems she has to soothe this kid in bad humour. She turns his face around to kiss on his cheek then whispers.

“Don’t angry at me anymore, ok?”

Her sweet voice melting his heart and her action also successful to make him happy as well despite he is pretending to be angry.

Ji Chang Wook smiles brightly and hugs her

“Are you cold?”
“No, I’m not because… I have you beside me,” Ha Ji Won also smiles to watch on him.

Listening her said like that Ji Chang Wook feels like there has a warm water flowing into his heart. Her hugs her more tightly.

“Me too, Ji Won…have you beside is the happiest to me.”

These two are looking at each other and slowly move closer. With such a close distance like this, Ji Chang Wook can smell the fragrance on her body. He is greedy to kiss on her flesh while she enthusiastically responds to him. 

Till both two can’t control anymore, Ha Ji Won’s phone rings suddenly

“Let me…hear the call…” she speaks mumbly.
“Ignore it…”

Ji Chang Wook doesn’t let her go down the bed and keeps kissing on her lips. But Ha Ji Won still tries to push him away to sit up to pick the call.

“Hello who is calling?”
“It’s me Ji Won…I have something want to talk with you...could you come the company right now?”
“This time?...” Ha Ji Won both talking and looking at Ji Chang Wook
“Anything? Tomorrow is ok? Now too late…”
“No…right now, it’s about your work at Jiwonderland, I’m your senior and you have to listen to me.”

Ha Ji Won is going to talk something more but Ji Sung hung up

“Who did call you Ji Won?” Ji Chang Wook asks Ha Ji Won
“Uhmm..that is…” Ha Ji Won doesn’t know how to answer him
“I am asking who called you at this late time”

Said then he snatches the phone on her hand, just saw the name Ji Sung he almost gets crazy to smash the phone.

“That is Ji Sung?...he calling you for what?”
“He told want to talk about my job at Jiwonderland…”
“Work? At this time?...so do you intend to go to see him?”
“No, I don’t…”
“I don’t let you leave this room tonight, are you clear?”

He shouts angrily then slams the door to go out and leave Ha Ji Won stays alone in the room.

“Why don’t you believe me Chang Wook?”

She is crying and can’t sleep the whole night.

The next morning, the atmosphere is too heavy. No one talks any sentence to each other. Finally Ha Ji Won has to break the awkward status, she starts talking to Ji Chang Wook about her idea.

"I..I want to go to work again…not because of the personal reason I have to give up on job…of course I will try to balance between work and family therefore… I’m so sorry Chang Wook…”

Ji Chang Wook doesn’t say anything at all, after finished the breakfast he grabs the documents and goes straight to the company.

Ha Ji Won is sitting on the dinning table with her sadness, she feels uneasy because Ji Chang Wook never treats her like this. She hopes he can deny or even scold her but only quiet at last.

At Jiwonderland group

When already came the company, Ha Ji Won goes to Ji Sung’s room to see him.

“What did you do but not come company for a long time?”
“So sorry director…I have something to settle. So are you asking me to resign?”

Ji Sung keep quiet for a while then talks to her. 

“No…Anyway you have signed labor contract with company, just from now you need to focus on your job and work hard.”

Till this time Ha Ji Won just lifts up her head, she replies with not much happiness. Seems her mood is not good after argument with Ji Chang Wook.

“Yeah I know, thanks director.”

After finished the talk with Ji Sung, Ha Ji Won returns her usual jobs. But from the day she comes back, there too much gossip in the company.

Today is the same too, she accidentally listens something bad about her when passing the odd room.

“Maybe she has someone in this company to lean on…”
“Why doesn’t director let her go?”
“OMG does he like her?”
“No way… the kind person like her…not deserved with our perfect director.”

Ha Ji Won feels hurt because of that malicious words but still ignored all. Whether in work or in the meals, Ha Ji Won is only alone. No one volunteers to be together with her.

Ji Sung knows that, he has an excuse company holding a party and asks all the staff must join it. But the real purpose is hoping Ha Ji Won know more friends in that party.

After work, Ji Sung informs Ha Ji Won this new party.

“Tonight company has a party, you should take participate also”
“Me?...” Ha Ji Won wonders
“Right…this is a good chance for everyone in the company to understand each other more…don’t you want to join?”

Thinking for a while, Ha Ji Won decides to join but she has to send a message to Ji Chang Wook to avoid him waiting her for dinner.

The party lasts quiet long, Ha Ji Won is very happy because finally she has some friends. This night they talk too much and know each other well, not too many staff has prejudice with her anymore. But the result she is drunk too much that she even can’t stand and her face getting red.

When the party ended, Ji Sung said to everyone he want to take her home because she was already drunk. Thus making them more suspicious of the relationship of these two but they don’t dare to say anything but keep saying goodbye to both two and leave.

When arrived, saw Ji Chang Wook already waiting there. Sitting in the car, Ji Sung smiles as if he is the winner.

In front of angry face of Ji Chang Wook, Ji Sung helps Ha Ji Won to go to him.

“She was drunk, take care her carefully”
“My wife…don’t need you care” Ji Chang Wook replies uncomfortably. 

Said then he pulls Ha Ji Won out of Ji Sung then go straight into the house.

Ji Sung is just standing there to look at them for a while then leave.

“I want to drink more…where is my beer…”

Ha Ji Won is leaning on Ji Chang Wook to walk but not forgetting to mutter.

“You were drunk…should go to sleep”

Ji Chang Wook grabs her hand and going to take her upstairs but Ha Ji Won push his hands away. She staggers to talk.

“I’m not drunk…I can drink more…haha…”
“Ji Won…listen to me go to sleep” Ji Chang Wook is still patient to advise her

Ha Ji Won turns around to look at him, she suddenly smiles.

“Ah…that’s you Chang Wook…” it looks like till now she just recognizes who is beside her.

She uses her hands to hug his face then whispers. 

“Chang wook ah…don’t angry at me anymore…nothing between me and Ji Sung at all…why don’t you believe me?..I feel so painful…” her voice like going to cry

Ji Chang Wook doesn’t interrupt her talk but just staring at her, his eyes becomes deep.

Ha Ji Won slowly approaches him and kisses on his lips.

“Do you know… I love you…love you so much…”

Doong…like having a blast in his head. Till this time, Ji Chang Wook could not pretend to be cold again. He is happy as crazy and hugs her tightly.

“Ji Won…is your say true?” he buries his head in her neck to ask.

“Yeah it’s true…you are the person I love the most…” Ha Ji Won pushes him away to watch on him tenderly and answers.

Ji Chang Wook feels very satisfied, these days the unhappy mood was dissipated all. He also puts a kiss on her lips.

“Ji Won… we should go to the room”
“Uh…” Ha Ji Won is obedient to reply.
