Empress Ki 2: Episode 69

Paeha and Mamanim still in the cave. They then get back to the palace and looks like having great memories. In the palace there's so many rumors that Ayu will marry TilTil soon. But seems like TilTil has a change of heart at the last minute. She needs more time to think about it. Ayu is clearly not happy. Paeha calls Ayu and TilTil soon. TilTil just needs some time and maybe take a break on a temple. 

Ayu is angry why she just tells it now. He asks TilTil what happened to her but she won’t answer it. Ayu looks gloomy next day when TilTil off from the palace.

He makes TilTil promise to come back soon. TilTil agrees. After that Ayu tells his mother how he truly feels. He's scared actually that TilTil will change her mind. But Mamanim believes TilTil won't do that. Ayu feels a little better now.

Mamanim then meets Paeha at the royal laundry. Paeha is stunned by Mamanim's beauty because she still looks on her 20s. They meet as if it's their first meeting and playing around in the laundry between the white sheets and clothes.

Then Mamanim asks Paeha for another horse riding. Paeha readily agrees. They ride through the streets from noon to sunset.

Mamanim tells her concern about Ayu and TilTil. Surprisingly Paeha says that they need to get married soon. They shouldn't wait and separated for too long. Just as him can't wait to see her everyday. Mamanim is relieved her concern is finally solved. She's blushing that Paeha is still as romantic as ever.

Meanwhile Tiltil actually having secret meeting with Mamanim's brother, Ki Cheol, somewhere far from the palace. She wants to learn sword dance. Ki Cheol agrees to teach TilTil, after all she will marry his nephew, Ayu.

TilTil is still awkward and need to loosen a bit. But she's determined to learn dancing.

A week passed. Finally TilTil comes back to palace. Ayu is so happy that he wants to see her even before she reaches palace gate. She has clear minds now and ready to marry Ayu. Ayu is overjoyed. Paeha declares the marriage will be held soon.

TilTil is shy but she finally smiles.

A great day for everyone and Paeha invites all to comes to Yuan palace to celebrate the marriage. Hwon, Jeongjo, Bidam, Seondeok are all invited. Paeha holds a banquet full of foods and drinks. 

But Mamanim can't attend the banquet. She doesn't feel well. Paeha drinks with all guests, Ayu and TilTil till drunk.

The next morning Paeha meets Mamanim at the outside of her chamber but Mamanim ignores her. Paeha asks why, but Mamanim doesn't answer it. She's upset at last night's event.

Paeha: "I got drunk last night, that's all."
Mamanim: "And you prefer get drunk rather than take care your sick wife."
Paeha: "But you just said you don't feel well."
Mamanim: "Lame excuse. Anyway, I'm sorry Paeha, I need to do something else."

Just a few steps forward, suddenly Mamanim's feel dizzy. Paeha helps her to rest although Mamanim rejects his help.

Paeha is watching Mamanim sleep. He really feels bad because he's just enjoy drinking while his Empress actually sick. A few hours later, Mamanim wakes up.

Paeha is concerned. He asks what she feels, is she still sick, what kind of illness, etc. 

Mamanim answers she's having headaches and feels nausea. She also sweats a lot and easily tired these days. Paeha wonders...

Paeha: "Are we, perhaps, expecting a baby?"
Mamanim: "That's impossible."
Paeha: "But we need to check with the doctor."
Mamanim: "No no no, no need to do that."
Paeha: "Nyangie, but what if..."
