Empress Ki 2: Episode 68

Paeha leads his soldiers near battlefield. There he sees bloody battle. Goryeo is almost losing to Shilla. Shilla generals, esp Bidam ready to massacre Goryeo army. Bidam is already on the front row, ready to aim at Hwon and Jeongjo.

But just before Bidam kills both Jeongjo and Hwon, Hwon begs at Bidam. He admits defeat and kneel down. Paeha and Mamanim looks from afar this interesting move from Goryeo. They don't believe Goryeo admits defeat easily and even throw away their pride to save their lives.

Hwon still begs at Bidam pitifully. Bidam leaves the battlefield. Bidam thinks, "Why should we listen to them when we can kill them at the moment?"

Shilla generals have emergency meeting while Goryeo soldiers are basically at disadvantage and they'll surely will lose if having another battle. Paeha asks Mamanim if they should attack Goryeo or Shilla now. Mamanim doesn't think it's good to have another battle. They'll postpone it or even declare the peace.

Ayu meets Hwon and Seondeok to discuss the war. He invites both Goryeo and Shilla to a dinner. But Seondeok rejects him flatly. She accuses him as cold heartless man who never care about her. Ayu only gives her bitter smile.

Hwon still thinks whether admit defeat now, offer peace, or fight till the end. But Jeongjo tells him to stop the war. They'll die easily.

While at Shilla camp, Bidam won't throw away the victory. He's ready for another battle. But Seondeok stops him with a hug and tells him to forget the war. At dinner, they have a feast. Paeha eats gracefully as if it's not war. Mamanim feels embarrassed about Paeha's eating habit. Hwon and Jeongjo has intense psy war with Bidam and Seondeok. They don't talk to each other. While Ayu and TilTil feel so awkward. They hold hands under the table and smiles to each other as if nothing important to them except each other.

After dinner they make an agreement to stop the war and not attack each other country. Paeha is not sure if it's the best solution for them all. But Mamanim assures him.

Therefore the war ended. Both Goryeo and Shilla teams back to their own countries but promise to visit Yuan occasionally. Yuan team also prepares to back to the palace. But Paeha and Mamanim don't go to the palace directly. They take detour to a beach. In the palace, Ayu still trains hard to become proper crown prince along with TilTil to become princess.

Paeha and Mamanim ride horses to near beach. They want refreshing after bloody war.

 

 

They have another battle to ride horse the fastest. But instead compete with each other, they playfully riding horses along the shore.

And playing with the waves, winds, and sea water.

 

In their minds:
Paeha: “Ah, this feels, so long since I feel this way. The one who always makes my heart beating fast, Nyangi-ah...”
Mamanim: “Now in this moment I can't believe I still look at his eyes so intensely. The eyes of a man whom I love thoroughly, Paeha.”

3 hours later...

How they end up in a cave is still a mystery. Mamanim tries to remember what happened after they're in the beach. All she remembers they played around in the beach, ended up falling on top of Paeha, then they kiss passionately. But then she wonders why they're half naked. Maybe they're not only kiss each other?

Mamanim wears her clothes quickly but Paeha who also wakes up, sneak a peek on her.
Paeha (in his mind): “Ah, this woman. Why so quick? We're just play a bit, having fun a bit.” 
Paeha then ask Mamanim, "Nyangi, you don't remember what happened?"
Mamanim: "Wh...What?"
Paeha: "Ah, don't stuttering, you're cute when doing that. Ehm, we just were having fun.
Mamanim: "Having fun what?"
Paeha: "Ah, the usual. You undress me as usual, and me, like a butterfly to a flower... "
Mamanim: "Paeha, stop it, we have to go back to the palace quickly!"
Paeha: "Okay, I'll stop it, but only after one more round, Nyangi-ah"
Mamanim: "Paeha!!"
