Cliffhanger last week, Princess Aya and Ai are already
teens... Mamanim can't believe her daughters grown up so much. She cries tears
of relief...
Flashback to 10 years ago. Paeha calls her to his chamber.
He wants to get rid Red Turban rebels, King Henry and everyone else who oppose
him. Mamanim doesn't really believe him. But Paeha assures her. He wants to
build an empire as big as ever without rebellions. Hwanghu Mama tells him the
last time there's rebellion with Baek Ahn as PM, they lost.
Paeha calls Jeongjo and Hwon to throne hall. He thanks them
because they got rid of Arjun. He wants to give them gift, but Jeongjo refuses
it. Hwon is surprised Jeongjo will reject the gift. He asks Jeongjo why. But
Jeongjo said he doesn't want gift now, but later when he kills Jung Ok himself.
He feels betrayed by Jung Ok that helps Henry.
Paeha said, "Go on" to Jeongjo.
He goes to his chamber but meets Ayu while walking towards
his chamber. Ayu greets him awkwardly. He just met TilTil secretly and doesn't
want his father know about this. In the chamber, Mamanim is already waiting for
him with the white dress. Paeha smiles happily. He's suddenly nervous and can't
think straight. But he still tells Mamanim what happens today in the throne
hall.
Hwanghu Mama is worried because they can't trust Jeongjo
that easily. After all, he seems to have hidden agenda. But Paeha won't listen
to her today.
TH: “Rest assured, Seung Nyang-ah, don't think it as a burden. I'll have someone to monitor Jeongjo.”
SN: “But, Paeha...”
Before Hwanghu Mama finished the sentence, Paeha steals a
kiss. Mamanim is surprised. But Paeha doesn't care.... Their clothes are thrown
away....
Jeongjo is set to kill Jung Ok. He's off to outside the
palace. Hwon looks at him from far away. He wishes him well. Paeha also sends
his spy to follow Jeongjo and helps him if he's in trouble. The spy is Dr.Won
since he doesn't have any works at the palace. Mamanim takes care of the twins
today. The twins are actively run around the palace. When Paeha meets them,
Paeha brings them to royal ground to train archery.
Paeha teach the girls archery but of course Mamanim is
better. Mamanim shows her skills or archery. Badass!! This archers family is
happily play games when Ayu suddenly tells them that Seondeok will come back to
Shilla. Seondeok no longer wants to stay in the palace because her and Ayu's
marriage is still not decided. Paeha apologizes to her and promise to invite
her again to Yuan. Seondeok is off from Yuan palace at this moment. A few
months later... A messenger comes to Paeha and said Jeongjo is killed by Jung
Ok. Hwon sobs uncontrollably when hearing the news.
Mamanim smiles slyly upon hearing the news. Paeha is having mental breakdown because Jeongjo's death.
He's angry and mad... There's no news on Dr. Won as well. Mamanim tries to
console him but fails. Hwon will hold a funeral for Jeongjo. Even though
Jeongjo's body not found yet, but he wants to hold proper funeral.
Paeha is back to drinking habit. He doesn't care the country
again. But this time, Mamanim accompany him. He mutters everything and he's
getting really drunk. Paeha falls on Mamanim. Mamanim puts him on bed, but
suddenly Paeha wakes up and wants to own Mamanim that night. Mamanim is not
surprised again. This time she gives in to Paeha. They lean closer and closer
until they can feel each other's breath....
But just at the moment, Paeha sobers up and drifts away from
Mamanim. He's sorry to her because he can't get think straight. Mamanim sighs
and just sleeps on beside him without say anything. Later that night, when
Paeha sleeps soundly, Mamanim wake up and said to herself.
"Is it only in my dream you kiss me every night? It seems only in my dream. Because it feels like long time ago, the last time you embrace me."
The next morning, Mamanim already left Paeha's chamber and meet TilTil. TilTil whispers something to Mamanim and she starts to cry.
