Empress Ki Heirs: Episode 11

Ta Hwan and Oh Soo meets at the hospital. They look at each other fiercely. Ta Hwan bravely confesses that he loves Seung Nyang, but so does Oh Soo. Ta Hwan can’t hardly believe what he hears.

“Are you kidding? Now you hurt Seung Nyang, but do you still love her? Are you still having that flame?”

But Oh Soo just walks away past him.

“I love her, she’s everything to me!” Ta Hwan yells at him while tries to hold his tears trickled down his face.

Ta Hwan goes back to his room. He’s hurt, he cries silently while remember his sweet moments with Seung Nyang. His mother comes, seeing his son crying she hugs him and pats him in the back. Young Rang says she already tells Seung Nyang to keep her position as his assistant, but now she has to assist him to prepare his wedding with Oh Young. Ta Hwan cries once again. He holds his chest, barely can contain his feelings. 

“My heart hurts so much. But even though it hurts, I can still feel my love for Seung Nyang.”

“Seung Nyang, that wench! She’s nothing compared to Oh Young,” Young Rang replies then leaves his son alone.

Seung Nyang comes home. Her dad and Nam Hoon is waiting for her. They cook so much for her, tell her to just forget Ta Hwan. She shakes her head and asks for soju instead. Sam Gwan is confused but Nam Hoon quickly gets up to the refrigerator and brings her a bottle of soju.

“Yah, it’s broad daylight. How can you make your sister drunk at this time?” Sam Gwan yells at Nam Hoon.

But Seung Nyang doesn’t care and gulps soju, little by little until she drunk. 

She falls asleep on the floor and Nam Hoon covers her with blanket. Oh Soo is clearly frustrated and he pulls off his car while driving to the roadside. He calls Seung Nyang and wants to meet her. Seung Nyang is still sleeping and doesn’t know the call. Oh Soo yells at himself. At that time, his staff calls him instead and informs that one of his contractor is died yesterday and they will hold the funeral today. Oh Soo goes back to the car and drives off to the hospital.

The deceased is famous contractor and has worked with several major companies, including Oh Soo’s company and Yuan Group. Just when he arrives at the funeral Joong Won and Gong Shil greet him. Joong Won acts friendly although behind the smile he still hold grudges to him. Gong Shil is fawning head over heels at Oh Soo, which irritates Joong Won even more. Joong Won introduces him to her as Parkland Group heir, while introduces her to him as deceased’s psychiatrist and his girlfriend. This time Gong Shil is irritated because they don't even date each other.

 

“A psychiatrist? That’s really interesting job,” Oh Soo says then smiles.

Gong Shil is smittened and Joong Won doesn’t miss it. He grabs her hand and talks privately. He reminds her of their business.

“Aren’t we dating? Don’t look at other men!” Joong Won says.

“Are we officially dating? No! He’s so handsome just like male God,” she replies.

“Anyway, he’s famous playboy. A player!”

“Oh is that true? I really don’t like a player!” she exclaims.

“That’s why you should choose me, Ms.Tae.”

At Parkland Group Oh Young is busy working until noon. His secretary updates on Ta Hwan’s condition and says he will leave the hospital soon. He also says someone looking for her, which turns out to be Joo Won. He stops by at the office because he has business meeting nearby. Oh Young looks happy when she sees him. They talk outside of the office and Joo Won asks whether she still has any hope for Ta Hwan. She laughs at that question, but Joo Won reminds her of Seung Nyang. Everybody knows she’s Ta Hwan’s woman now. She coolly asks him why it’s matter to him while he’s just casual friend and a friend of Oh Soo. He apologizes but he just curious, after all he knows Oh Soo and Seung Nyang for a long time. So he doesn’t want Oh Young to get entangled on their messed-up relationships. Then he tries to cheer her up, but she finds it silly and laughs at him instead.

Oh Soo once again tries to call Seung Nyang. She’s tired of him but still answers the call. He bombards her with questions.

“Are you still mad at me? Why?”

“Are you asking because you don’t know anything? Last time you said I was only into money. But have you ever thought of me? I can’t even have steady jobs because I’m afraid you and your father will find me.”

“Do you still have feelings for me?”

“Yeah,” she replies in soft voice, trying hard to fight off her tears.

“Are you dating Ta Hwan now?”

“No.”

“But do you actually like him?”

“Yeah.”

“I see.”

Can’t even say anymore, he’s crying loudly as he feels so stupid because he upsets at her these past years without knowing the truth. Seung Nyang also cries, finally letting him know her feelings and situation. Oh Soo closes his call and cries in desperation.

Nam Hoon comes with Young Do to their house. Nam Hoon is confused why her sister is crying. Seung Nyang wipes her tears like it’s nothing and said to them she will goes outside to look for fresh air. Nam Hoon and Young Do rejoices and they fool around in the house, eating ramen, reading comic books, play games, etc. But Young Do asks Nam Hoon what’s the matter with her sister. Nam Hoon answers that it’s most definitely because of love.

“There are words you can say and words you shouldn’t say,” Nam Hoon speaks.

Sam Gwan comes home and is surprised his house is really noisy and in a mess. Nam Hoon quicky apologizes and sweet-talks his father to allow Young Do here for a night. Sam Gwan looks at Young Do carefully from head to toe.

“Isn’t he Parkland Group heir?”

“Ah, yes. I’m Choi Young Do, ahjussi.”

“Ahjussi? Call me ‘sir’ instead!” Sam Gwan looks upset but quickly notes that he’s just kidding.

He asks Nam Hoon how come he befriend rich person like him and wonders why his children has such luck to meet rich people. He allows Young Do to spend the night there but he jokingly asks Young Do to pay for the rent next time he sleeps over again.

Seung Nyang goes to hospital to meet Ta Hwan. As she enters the hospital Ta Hwan waves his hand to her.

“Seung Nyang-ah.” Ta Hwan looks excited.

Seung Nyang hears him and goes to his direction. She asks him why wander when he’s still sick. But he doesn’t want to hear her nagging and invites her to his room.

“Do you know how many I miss you today? Do you know I can’t eat anything because everything tastes so bitter? Why do you leave me alone here?”

Seung Nyang apologizes and promises to cook him a meal next time when he gets out of hospital. He gets excited and tells her all of his favorite foods, riceballs, noodles, fried rice, anything he can eat.

“Nyangie-ah, come closer to me, I want to tell you something,”

Seung Nyang puts her face closer to him. They almost touch each other. But at that time, Oh Young opens the door. Seung Nyang and Ta Hwan pull out each other awkwardly as they avoid Oh Young’s gaze.
