1. After Empress Ki’s re-run in Taiwan, Taiwan’s channel ETTV reported on October 29, “Empress Ki” has ranked as the best foreign program for the year as it reached a 5.35% viewership rating in the country. This is the second time that a Korean drama has surpassed the 5 percent mark in the ratings after “Dae Jang Geum” in 2004. The drama reached a 6.22% viewership rating, the highest rating record for a Korean drama. Taiwan’s ETTV attributed the secret to the popularity of “Empress Ki” to the enthusiastic and detailed performance of its lead stars Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook as well as the elaborate scenes that showed the heart-wrenching love story. 2. As part of Northcape promotional activities, Ji Chang Wook went to Northcape Fansign last Wednesday (29/10). The actor showed up wearing “Peary” red windbreaker collection and looking mightily handsome. Don’t forget the fishy index finger ring which become more obvious. Fans reportedly swarmed into the fansign site and there are 6 lucky fans to get Hyungji Group shopping vouchers. Ha Ji Won was featured in there (kinda, sorta). (JCW Kitchen)
Almost 2 days after the fansign event, Ji Chang Wook updated his Instagram (01/11) because he remembered what the fans told him to remember the ones looking for jobs. Through his Instagram post, he cheered up his fans and eased their worries.

3. After the fansign event, Ji Chang Wook headed to musical “The Days” to perform that night (29/11). He appeared in greyish green jacket with suspicious logos and embroideries all over it. There are love symbol, on the right arm written “LOVE OF MY LIFE” while the writing on the back part is “MAKING LOVE”. We assume he’s not an innocent boy anymore but grown-up adult, right? Good luck to him if he has found the love of his life. The fishy thing, the jacket is rather similar with the one Ha Ji Won owns and wore when she met with a baseball player in LA last May. 4. Crocodile Ladies released Ha Ji Won’s photoshoot video for Winter 2014 Collection this week and she’s simply gorgeous. Ha Ji Won appears in short video but even the short video is not enough to satisfy us. The pastel colors, knitted scarf, long jackets and variety of colors gives warmth in this cold winter. 5. A ninja she must be, this week Ha Ji Won also spotted in the USA (30/10). There’s not even single airport picture. She went there for unknown reason and her fans speculate it’s for her Hollywood castings. But until now there is no news or announcement from her agency if she will do Hollywood project in the near future. Hope she will get some good role and good luck for her in Hollywood!
TROA, a fashion brand, updated their Instagram showing Ha Ji Won wearing TROA t-shirt and jeans. 7. Ha Ji Won’s airport pictures after her last Taiwan FM were revealed. She’s looking pretty wearing one of Crocodile Ladies’ collection, a pink dress with pink overcoat plus sunglasses. (HJW HK)
8. Two English subbed videos were finished this week, thanks to our collaboration with Chinese speaker, qwenli. First is Ji Chang Wook’s grocery shopping video on his 1st Taiwan FM and the second one is Ha Ji Won’s visit to Empress Ki set on her Taiwan FM.
Ji Chang Wook seems comfortable and know well enough about spices and cooking ingredients. He admits it’s his first time cooking after such a long time and feels like he’s cooking for some special people. (He really prepared it seriously! The food looked delicious, I was drooling just looking at the pics from Taiwan FM).
While Ha Ji Won shows up at Empress Ki’s filming set, MBC Dramia and shows up her archery skills. Not bad. There are 2 guys (or only one guy?) wearing Tal Tal and Ta Hwan masks. She rejects Tal Tal flatly but goes straight to Ta Hwan and re-enact bridge scene and plucks him a flower. She also tells the viewers where Seung Nyang and Ta Hwan have many scenes together. Seems like she can’t forget Ta Hwan, eh?
