TaNyang Weekly 08/03/2015

TaNyang Weekly comes back this week with heavy dose of prettiness, news and events.

1. Talk of the month! Ha Ji Won is in talks to headlining the remake of Taiwanese drama “In Time With You” and renamed “The Time I Loved You, 7000 Days” for the Korean version. The drama will be aired on SBS, tentatively after “Divorce Lawyers In Love” and that will make the drama premiered in May. Writing is “Full House” and “Attic Cat” writer but still no PD attached on it. Now everyone and their mother are busy being couch casting director to find the male lead suitable for Ha Ji Won. The story is about two people in their 30s who have been best friends since high school only to realize they actually fall in love with each other. With such story, the leading man is expected to be over 30s too as they should be close in real life age, the contenders range from Ha Ji Won’s former co-stars like Jo In Sung, So Ji Sub and Kang Dong Won to talented actors who never paired with Ha Ji Won before, like Gong Yoo or even Won Bin. While the possibility of JiJi re-united for this drama is quite small, it doesn’t prevent some fans to create awesome fanart for them like the one above. While here is the original poster from the original TW-drama “In Time With You”, starring Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen.

2. While Ha Ji Won’s fans busy talking about her next co-star, Ji Chang Wook’s fans busy snapping (or saving) pictures of him at the airports and in Hong Kong. Last Thursday Ji Chang Wook flew to Hong Kong to attend Alfred Dunhill VIP Dinner at White Cube Gallery. Beside attending VIP dinner, Ji Chang Wook also had photoshoot and interview with media. He looks dashing before, during and after the event, thanks to Dunhill clothing from head to toe. Moreover, he also took selcas with some VIP attendants, like Chilam Cheung and Gordon Lam.

3. JiJi never fails to surprise us with their projects. In an interview Ji Chang Wook said he wants to do queer (LGBT) project and on another he said that he wants to do a project with Yoo Ah In. Talk about straightforward guy! Maybe he doesn’t want to do a project with a woman because he’s taken or being warned by Ha Ji Won now? *delulu*. On another note, he also considers a Chinese web drama titled “Goodbye Teacher” that will depicts teacher-student romance. He will be math teacher and the highschooler female lead is C-actress Guan Xiao Tong. But many fans (especially Korean) had opposed this project so it remains to be seen whether he will take his project or not.
4. New pictures of Ha Ji Won from NHK! Ha Ji Won went to Japan and interviewed on Empress Ki. They also showed her real costumes in “Empress Ki” and new behind the scenes. Ha Ji Won also said that during 9 months filming, they only ate in the car and had good sleep once a week. That’s how poor live-shooting in Korea. As of now, “Empress Ki” is still airing in Japan every Sunday at 9pm and the drama will be finished on July/August.

5. As Ha Ji Won went to Japan and NHK aired Empress Ki Special, many new BTS came out this week!! I especially enjoy when they make fun of each other and just enjoy being with each other. Below Ha Ji Won draws Ta Hwan’s face and it’s so cute that they likes to draw each other, like how Ji Chang Wook also likes to draw Ha Ji Won. Watch some of the BTS videos here.
6. Instagram Updates!
