Reserved Love: Episode 5

Mu Young asks Young Won with intense eyes, ““Do you want to leave the room or talk with me here?”

She gulps, but he waits until she opens her mouth. His eyes still gaze at her, making her blushing and turning red.

“Director-nim, let’s talk tonight!” Young Won finally speaks.

He stands looking at her and smiling sweetly.

“You know this talk?” He asks her teasingly.


She nods, as if giving him confirmation. He gets closer to her and cups her face with his hands. He tilts his head to kiss her, a light, soft kiss before going deeper to her mouth. His hand grips the back of her head, brings her closer to a more passionate kiss. They kiss each other, as if asking if it’s what they really want, what they really desire deep inside. She also wonders to herself if this passion slowly building inside her body, a passion she has had the moment he walked into the restaurant a while ago. While Mu Young’s hand is traveling around her body. He touches her skin with his fingertips, he can smell a sweet scent from her. It’s hard to describe it. He just knows what he should do at the moment like this. He leads Young Won to his bed, while his hands still tightly grip her, his arms are across her waist.

Full moon tonight, people say the full moon has its own magic. Maybe like this night, when the moon softly gazes at Mu Young and Young Won. The light is just enough to see their burning desire turns into a night of fiery passion.

Mu Young wraps her in a loving embrace, seems satisfied with tonight. His tender gaze cools down the tension and they smile to each other, completely absorbed with one another. Laying in each other arms, they feel sleepy thanks to the recent adventure.

He then softly kisses her hair, says, “I love you.”

She’s over the moon when he says the three words, but on the other hand, she also feels slightly hurt. She’s not the only he ever loves, she thinks. Strangely, she never felt that way when another man said the same sentence to her. But it must be different now, ‘cause the only thing she replies to him is the words, “I love you too.”

A brand new day! Mu Young wakes up, slightly disheveled from last night. He looks at his other side of the bed, Young Won is still sleeping. He sits beside her and looks at her hair, asking himself if he should play her hair or not. He wants to caress her hair and he slightly touches it, before Young Won changes her sleeping position. Naturally he should just let her sleep, but he can’t and touches her here and there, inevitably wakes her up.

It’s raining hard outside and maybe the best chance to snuggle more under the bed. But Young Won is fully wake up now, seeing Mu Young look at her making her blushing.

“Do you sleep well?” Mu Young asks.

She nods while smiling. But she feels a bit unwell. She stretches her arms and legs and pulls out the blanket. Mu Young looks at the bed, his expression is a surprise.

“That... that’s.. blood stain?!” Mu Young points his index finger where the bed cover has blood-stained mark.
“Blood? Where?”
“Answer me, is that your first?”
“Y..yeah”
“Goodness!! Why you didn’t tell me?” Mu Young shouts at her. He’s exasperated.
She’s exasperated too. “How I should tell you?”

Mu Young tries to remember last night. He smiles awkwardly and then shakes his head. Somehow he regrets it now, but it’s no use to regret. So now he asks her if she’s okay or she’s in great pain. But she ensures him she’s just fine.

"Are you sure you can handle it?"
"Of course. no problem with me."
"Okay, but if you feel pain or anything just tell me then! Now, you should take hot shower. i'll clean up the bed first," Mu Young orders her to take a bath.

Young Won finds it funny that it’s Mu Young who’s really anxious. She smiles to him, slightly agrees and goes to the bathroom in Mu Young’s room.

“Why do you use my bathroom?” Mu Young asks, clearly confused.
“Because the one in my room doesn’t have hot shower. I should get hot shower right?”

Now Young Won is back to her room after taking shower. She lays on her bed, her arms bent and she rest comfortably. She still feels butterflies swirling inside her stomach. Her heart flutters a bit, now she can’t erase Mu Young from her thought. She's literally being showered with attention, and affection from Mu Young. That makes her wonder if she's up to his level. If she can even dream to be with him. Last night aside, he doesn't seem a man who would give up everything for a woman, especially girl like woman.

There's a knock on the door. mu young shouts if she's ready cause they will go together to drill site.

"No, not yet Director. But i'll be ready in few minutes," Young Won replies.
"Okay, I'll wait for you at the hotel's restaurant. We'll have breakfast first," Mu Young says.
"Yes, Director."

Once Young Won joins him at a restaurant table, Mu Young lights up. He almost has no appetite to enjoy his food today. But now he wants to slog down the remaining food on his plate. Young Won teases him that he must be really like food. Only to have him counter, “But I like you more.”

Mu Young goes to tell her if everything is going according to the plan, they don't need to be in Jeju for longer time. Young Won only nods listening to his explanation. She also misses Seoul, although she’s excited to be in drill site, on an oil rig again.

Young Won is excited to be able to feel the sea and see the oil rig from afar. While Mu Young is a bit scared. Actually that’s his first time ever going to drill site. He never even imagine what it looks like. But now, as he’s the director of oil company, impossible for him not to go to this site. Basically he’ll hand out some surveys to the employees and look for their well-being. But it looks like he’s still unsure how he will cope being in the middle of the sea. He has slight seasick and Young Won continues to tease him about it.

Stepping their feet on the platform, one can see the excitement on Young Won’s face and the fear on Mu Young’s. Young Won asks her boss if she can help them a bit.

“What? What help?” Mu Young is surprised.
“Come on, Director. It’s not like it’s my first time. Let me show you how it feels working on an oil rig,” Young Won says.

Mu Young is a bit hesitant, but he agrees it. So Young Won changes her clothes to jumpsuit and join the other crews. The crews look ecstatic seeing a woman among them. She asks the captain what she can do here. The young captain looks at Mu Young and shift his eyes to Young Won. He asks if she knows about Derrick. Young Won smiles and answers that she knows. The captain says she can go ahead to co-operate the Derrick. That day, the crews and Young Won help each other to undergo oil drilling. While Mu Young choose to watch their work with amusement. He does, however, concerned about Young Won. Later that night, the crew have small ramen dinner and invite Young Won and Mu Young. She seems so happy smiling and laughing with the crew although there’s trace of oil and mud on her face and body.

After 2 weeks in Jeju Island, Mu Young and the crew come back to Seoul. Mu Young is back to his old home. But right after he enters the house, he senses something fishy. He sees Mu Won and Na Young have hot makeout session in the kitchen. Na young is startled right away seeing him standing few meters from them.

Mu young can't hold back himself and starts speaking.

"We're not even divorced yet and he even dare to step in here and kiss you. it must be good for you two that W was away in Jeju right?" Mu Young can’t hold back his anger.

"You have no right to say those. Why? because you also stay in the same hotel with that girl," Mu won answers.
"Which girl?"
"Don't feign ignorance. it's so easy for me to get this kind of information. i'm still a director at Daehan Group, remember?"
"At least I don't take another man's woman.. Oh, to be precise his twin brother's wife."

That flames Mu Won’s anger and he jumps at Mu Young.

"Fuck you Mu Young-ah!! Don't say that thing again because i'm sure you at least know about us. And don't pretend to be holy either because that's bullshit!!" Mu won grabs his collar.
"And you! Only brainless stupid bastard dare to ruin his brother's family!! How dare you? How dare you hyung?? Huh? And don't even dream I'll forgive you because I won’t."

"Stop it! You two, stop fighting like kids. It's my fault, I know. I love you both. Now get out of my house!" Na Young speaks up.

“Okay, fine. I also want to pack my clothes and things and get out from here,” Mu Young says.

Saying those, he starts to pack his belongings to several suitcases. He doesn’t even bother them again. Now he only wants to leave this suffocating house. He storms out of the house and doesn’t take second glance to either Mu Won or Na Young.

Once he rides his car, he takes out his cellphone and calls Young Won.

“Where are you?”
“At the office, Director.”
“Already working? Do you want to come with me?”
“Where? I’m busy now.”
“Okay then. Bye.”

He ends the call and races through the airport instead. Who knows where he’ll end up now. Young Won prepares briefing paper for the meeting later. She wonders if Mu Young will come to the office or not.

What at first is only wonder, now becomes curiosity because now is the third day Mu Young absent. He’s unusually absent for this long. The project manager, his secretary, his assistant director and even contractors endlessly call him to know his whereabouts. But the calls go unanswered even though his phone is active. The project manager is afraid he run away again like the last time he had a fight with his wife. It drives him crazy that Mu Young always run at the most important moment and now his Jeju project seems forgotten.

The Project Manager asks Young Won to try calling him. Maybe she’ll be able to do it again.

“You’re truly his wife now, so you must know where he is now,” the manager says.
“What are you saying, Manager? I’m not even his secretary,” she scoffs.
“What if he tries to suicide?” Project Manager Hyun gives reasoning.
“Is he a teenager to easily suicide just like that?”
“Don’t you know South Korea has the highest suicide rate? Just call him and ask him nicely where he is!”

Young Won tries to call him eventually. But still no answer from him. He must be really really frustrated, Young Won thinks. She goes back to her work and grumbles it means another overtime work again for her since everyone has to double their work.

Mu Young sees his phone, it’s just 100th calls on his call log. He’s not annoyed, but he still need some time to be alone. Like this, being on very calm lake in a country, far from Korea and his family or friends. He really likes the peaceful and harmonious environment here. Sometimes throwing the stones to the open sea. He feels better by doing that. A bottle of local beer is beside him. He sips the drink, his mind wanders around the lake, the country, back to his family and Young Won. Ah, he misses Young Won so he looks up at his phone. He just notices that Young Won calls him, so he calls her back.

“Young Won-ssi, where are you?”
“Director-nim? That’s what I should ask. Where are you?”
“I’m at a very beautiful lake. Come here.”
“Are you okay, Director? Everyone is looking for you. Please take care of your health.”
“I’m okay. I’m somewhere in Turkey right now and I miss you. Thank you, Young Won-ssi.”

Then he closes his phone. He wonders if he’s too obvious or not. Why he loves saying “I love you, I miss you” to this woman. While Young Won feels she could die right away because the feels!!! She doesn’t know how he said it, but he always does things to her heart. She only sighs... remember her position again. She dreams though for him to take her to Turkey.
