Chapter 9

The Winter coming…

The day both Ha Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook expected is happening, finally they can see their baby. But the more that day closer the more Ha Ji Won feels anxious. Ji Chang Wook sees her mood is not good so asks how she is but she did not explain.

How could she tell him that she has been pregnant before_the baby of Ji Sung but after that they lost their child ‘cause he passed away in birth. And this time the baby of Ji Chang Wook, she really too scared she will lose him again.

Before enter the operation room, she told her husbands

“If…I say if…if any emergency happened…please save our baby first, don’t care about me…could you promise me?”

Ji Chang Wook cannot talk anything that time, just his mood increasingly worse. He grabs her hands more tightly till the nurse tell him

“Sorry…we have to come in but you cannot, please wait here”

Ji Chang Wook can only stand there and stare at the door is closing slowly.

In the room, Ha Ji Won is recalling her memories. The day she bore Ji Sung’s baby also was in winter. He was just born but passed away after then, even she still not gave him a name. At that time, they were so poor that don’t have enough money to pay for hospital bills and even can not buy any stuff for baby. From their lost child, the emotions between them start breaking. Ha Ji Won knew he still love her but because of the money he abandoned her to go after another richer girl.

She did not blame him, anyway now she also love another man, maybe Ji Chang Wook is her destiny. There are sometimes she wonder did she own him from previous life so this life her fate must stay his side until her death.

Think of her baby, she told herself

“I will protect you till the end and don’t let you be disadvantaged because of this useless mother again”

She is very weak now, don’t know does she have enough strength to give birth or not.

Ji Chang Wook too panic at outside and doesn’t know what he should do…then the door opened, the doctor talked to him

“Mrs Ji’s state now not good, she cannot give birth as normal and seems we have to do a surgery to get the baby out. You must sign this agreement, in the worst case we could only save one of them, the mother or the baby…”

 

Ji Chang Wook never felt holding a pen can be such this heavy, he closed his eyes and tightened it in his hand. Just shortly he opened eyes again and said miserably.

 “If have to choose one of them…I…need her…please save her doctor…”

Just finished the sentence, a tear fall down from his face. He can not think too much, this is the time he must be assertive or else he will lose her forever

“So sorry my dear baby…” he whispered in tears

In the operation room, the doctors trying their best to save both mother and child. Before the coma, Ha Ji Won tried to say some words

“My baby…please save him…please doctors”

But a voice suddenly appeared in her head

[Never give up, your baby will be fine so you must be awake and stronger, only then you can see your baby born. And your husbands, don’t you love him…]

Yes right, that's exactly what she is thinking. She wants a happy life with Chang Wook and their children till throughout her lifetimes.

At the outside

Ji Chang Wook was too restless and kept walking around in front of the room. From the morning till now he still didn’t eat anything, even not a drop of water.

“Why so long…”

He just complain and after then a cry of newborn rang out in his head. He thought he was hallucinating again. Only when the doctor come out and talk to him, he believed this is true

“Congrats you are being a father…and your wife…she is fine although still weak…”

Seems not enough patient to listen more, Ji Chang Wook hurry to run into the room to see Ha Ji Won

The nurse hold the baby to show him “Congrats! That is a boy”

He didn’t pay attention to the baby yet but keep looking at Ha Ji Won to see how she is now. She looks so tired and pale after the surgery. He feel extremely painful when seeing her like that and told himself later he will treat her better. He hold her hands tightly while waiting her wake up.

Later for a long time, Ha Ji Won wake up finally. Ji Chang Wook help her sit up then talk to her emotionally

“Ji Won ah…you were strenuous already”

She doesn’t talk anything but looks at him and smiles

“Baby name…did you give him a name?”

“I have been thinking for a while…if a boy he will be named Shi Woo”

“Shi Woo? Really a good name” *smile*

Ha Ji Won embraces the baby and whispers “From now on your name will be Shi Woo…my dear baby”

In the evening, Ji Chang Wook hold his son going around in the room, he looks so funny

“See, what such a wonderful! His eyes looks alike you but the nose is from mine”

Ha Ji Won look at the picture father playing with the son make her happy more than as ever. She doesn’t know when she begin her love for him and just remembers on that day Ji Chang Wook forced her to marry him.

Before she was a girl interesting in art painting and drawing. She and Ji Chang Wook occasionally met each other in an exhibition. But he loved her nonetheless although knew her has a boyfriend already. To save Ji Sung from the gangsters Ha Ji Won agreed to marry him and this is just transaction in love. Actually at that time Ji Sung betrayed her to become the son-in-law of Jiwonderland Group.

Because Ji Chang Wook understood Ha Ji Won wasn’t voluntarily marry him that why he always doubt her love. But he did not know her feeling changed. She is also an ordinary girl, who will not moved by his intensive love. Seeing Ha Ji Won being deep in thought, Ji Chang Wook taps her

“Are you tired already? So let go to sleep…I will take care Shi Woo”

He both holding and soothe him but he still crying so hard. Ha Ji Won smilea and says

“Perhaps he is hungry, transfer him to me”

No choice, Ji Chang Wook has to pass SW for her and sitting there to see her feed him. But Ha Ji Won ask him go out…he doesn’t understand “What’s up?”

“Uhmmm….you can go somewhere else for a while….” Ha Ji Won shyly replies

Finally Ji Chang Wook seems understands the reason why she reacts like that. He laughs out loud and tease her

“Hahah…why you always like that, aren’t we a couple? Don’t be too shy Ji Won ahh…hurry feed him or else he will get hungry…”

After Ha Ji Won fed their baby, Ji Chang Wook ask her “now let me hold him”

“Alright, let me…”

Without waiting her finished the sentence, SW already was on his hand and Ji Chang Wook pretend to scold his son

“Shi Woo aahhh…this naughty boy…you stole the person I love the best…because of you she never care about me anymore…”

Ha Ji Won feels funny cos of his childish action, she smiles

“You talk like that will make our Shi Woo sad”

Ji Chang Wook smiles too, he put SW down on the bed then grabs Ha Ji Won hands and confess

“Ji Won ahh…I have never been as happy as now, whether eat or sleep I will always fear this is just a dream. Because when I woke up, the dream was more frightening than the truth…”

“This is not a dream, it’s the truth…didn’t you have me and Shi Woo at your side already.”

Ha Ji Won hugs Ji Chang Wook and pat on his back slightly then say

“And sure we will live such this happy till the end of our lives.”
