Joo Won tells his mother about his plan to take over Yuan Group with the help of his sister, Bel Ami. But it seems like their mother is uncomfortable when Bel Ami is around so she decides to leave the siblings. Bel Ami is saddened by her mother’s usual ill-treatment towards her. She knows that their mother favors Joo Won more than her but she can’t understand why she dislikes her. Joo Won notices her sad reaction and consoles her. She just smiles at her brother and assures him she will not disappoint him.
Next day at Yuan Group, Ta Hwan and Joong
Won is successful to close a big deal between the Geumdan Constructions, Inc.
as one of their newest and biggest investors. Joong Won glances at his younger
brother and gives him a thumbs up sign which makes Ta Hwan feel glad and
confident.
After the contract signing event,
everyone goes back to work. Seung Nyang surprises Ta Hwan with a packed lunch
she personally prepared. Then, he kisses her cheeks and holds her hands
tenderly.
“I’m so grateful that you came to my
life.”
She broadly smiles at him. He wants to
kiss her again so he slowly leans closer and closer only inches apart when Oh
Soo suddenly barges into his office bragging his book. Seung Nyang immediately
slaps Ta Hwan.
“Ouch!” He exclaims in pain.
“There’s a mosquito.” She innocently
says.
“Wha...What are you two doing? Are
you...” Oh Soo asks teasingly.
But before he finishes his sentence,
Seung Nyang, who looks embarrassed, excuses herself. Oh Soo stares at her
mischievously as she leaves while Ta Hwan caresses his cheeks and seems to be
still hurting from Seung Nyang’s slap. Oh Soo sits beside him and sees the
lunch boxes.
“Wow! This looks delicious.” He excitedly
exclaims as he eats a mouthful of gimbap or Korean style sushi roll.
Ta Hwan knows Oh Soo’s big appetite so he
immediately takes away the other lunch box from him and eats it right away.
Then, Oh Soo tells him about his book and persuades his bestfriend to also buy
his book.
He jokingly tells him, “Aigoo, why do I need
to buy your book if you can give it to me for free.” But he eventually buys the
book due to Oh Soo’s consistent persuasion.
Then, Bel Ami enters the office carrying
a cup of coffee and offers it to Oh Soo. Ta Hwan introduces them to each other
then she leaves them.
Oh Soo looks at her suspiciously and
whispers to Ta Hwan, “Is she really a girl? Because she looks like a man to me
and her name even means pretty man.”
“Of course she is a girl. Actually she
looks like a man sometimes but whenever I stare at her for a long time, I
realized that she’s too beautiful to be a man.”
But Oh Soo is not satisfied on what he
heard and even feels uncomfortable towards Bel Ami. Joong Won goes to Gong Shil’s office to
ask her for a date but she’s not there. As he is waiting for her patiently, he
sees Oh Soo’s best-selling book on Gong Shil’s table. Then, he imagines Gong
Shil and Oh Soo looking happy together and smiling at him from afar. He gets
irritated, slams the book on the table and leaves.
On his way to his office, a cheerful Gong
Shil greets him but only gets ignored by him. She is confused again by his
sudden change of behavior and even mumbles to herself that he has a serious
bipolar case.
On weekends, Seung Nyang visits Tal Tal
in his family’s dance studio. Tal Tal is busy practicing the belly dance with
his sisters and brother when Seung Nyang arrives. Then, he teaches her how to
belly dance. She jokingly asks him if he is interested to date someone because
she’ll refer him to her new found friend but he just responds that he is not
interested.
After the belly dance class, they go to a
nearby cafe to chat for awhile. Inside the cafe, Nam Hoon and Young Do are also
there fooling around at each other. Seung Nyang whispers to her brother if he
and Young Do have a romantic relationship which makes Nam Hoon chokes and
laughs at her sister. Then, he tells her seriously that he has a crazy sister
and clarifies that they are just bestfriends. She believes him but is still
bothered on how Young Do looks at her brother.
Ta Hwan visits Oh Young. This time
everything goes well between them still staying as close friends. Then, he
remembers his dream on the other day so he nervously asks about her and Oh Soo.
She frankly answers him that she already knows about his brother’s true
feelings towards her long time ago but she just ignores it because it’s not
right. He agrees with her however, he is even more surprised to hear about her
and Joo Won dating.
“Are you jealous?” She teases him. “Don’t
lie to me. It’s written all over your face.”
But he just denies it then, she receives
a call from Joo Won asking her for a lunch date which she happily accepts. Ta
Hwan feels a bit jealous but just lets it go because he wants her to happy
after what he had done to her.
Joo Won and Oh Young are having their
lunch date in an Italian restaurant. She praises his manly posture but he
humbly responds it’s the result of the exercises he had inside the military.
After their lunch date, they go for a short walk along the streets of Gangnam
until they see a lot of ahjummas gathering around a group of teenage girls
selling apples. He suddenly remembers his first love and girlfriend who also
used to sell apples on the streets with her friends. He really loves her so
much that every time he remembers her it pains him so much.
A furious Sam Gwan barges into Chae Young
Rang’s office and demands an explanation for terminating him. She, who seems to
be expecting him, warmly greets him and even ridicules him as a good liar. They
are having a heated argument when finally the security arrives. She orders them
to take him out of Yuan but Sam Gwan angrily tells her how cruel she is and
leaves. Chae Young Rang just looks at him broken hearted.
Ta Hwan brings Seung Nyang to her home.
They are sweetly talking to each other when Sam Gwan arrives. She tries to let
go of Ta Hwan’s hand but his grip is too tight. Sam Gwan is puzzled then, Ta
Hwan bravely tells him about his relationship with her daughter. This makes him
shocked for a few minutes.
